Fountain by Pix3M Fountain by Pix3M
Overrendered the statue so I took this fountain a step further so it doesn't totally go to waste.

Played a bit with an attempt to draw water without literally drawing the waves. I tried suggesting them by playing with the shape of the reflection and shadows (wait, would a shadow appear on the surface of the water?) as if there were waves.

A bit rushed in places... will fix stuff later as I notice stuff.

It seems that I zoom in mostly with more complex works which seems rendered well enough that I have to zoom in to see how it works. I guess that is what happened with the statue, at least that's how I see it.

Very well done. I'd be interested to see what it looks like with more frames.

I kept it at three because I had no idea how to approach it with more frames. I think I have an idea as to how to approach water with more frames though.

I'm starting to slowly notice that some animations make no sense with more frames, just like how some shapes make no sense if you remotely begin to try to shade them.

Yes, shadows actually will show on the surface, but it depends on the lighting and angle...

I love how you made the illusion of waves without actually making them, it's a very creative and effective idea. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the fountain be a bit less wavy? Unless it's a very big fountain, or the stream of water flowing is more forceful, it would probably be a very calm wave.
