The animation used in cave story is kind of ugly for my pony sprite mods. I will need more than a four-frame animation to get a decent animation that would read as a walk/run instead of one that moves legs back and forth. Too bad it looks like that I will need a bit of help hacking the executable.

I am sure the animation can be more polished but I'm leaving it as it is as of now. *innocent whistle* Kinda surprised that I did not need any AA-tweening cheats to make this good enough though.

Try making the pony a bit taller. it will seem mor manly that way. Short and stubby is less polular these days unless you prefer cutness like that.

Yeah srsly. There's a reason why super low-res sprites tend to be very chibi. You have room for only the most important details, and often the most important details are the face and hair. A chibi body style results. You can have more 'realistic' proportions, but don't expect to have sprites with a face on them.
